The BREAKERMATIC COMPUTACIÓN has been specifically designed to prevent damage to your electronic computing devices caused by a blackout or a temporary voltage variation, whether too high or too low. It also prevents damage caused by transient voltage spikes. The BREAKERMATIC COMPUTACIÓN protector will disconnect the output in the event of a temporary voltage failure, a blackout, or a flicker, and will keep it disconnected for up to 5 seconds after the fault disappears. Additionally, the BREAKERMATIC COMPUTACIÓN absorbs transient spikes produced by the operation of nearby loads or atmospheric activity, preventing them from reaching your equipment without having to unplug it.

It has two type B or NEMA 5-15R outlets, allowing two devices to be connected simultaneously as long as the sum of the currents or wattages does not exceed 10A or 1250W.

The Type B plug (Nema 5-15P) allows direct connection to a wall outlet, without occupying the two positions of a duplex outlet.

Easy to install and guaranteed 24/7 protection!

Ideal for:

  • Desktop computers
  • Laptops
  • Scanners
  • Printers and peripherals.

Operation

Steady-state voltage fluctuation.

The BREAKERMATIC COMPUTACION disconnects the output if the steady-state voltage is above the high cut-off voltage or below the low cut-off voltage indicated in the specifications. The response time to a fault is typically 1 s. The voltage must remain outside the range longer than the response time for the disconnection to be activated. While the fault persists, the corresponding high or low voltage indicator will remain illuminated.

Reconnection delay or wait cycle.

Upon energizing the protector, or upon termination of a voltage fault, the protector will initiate a time delay before connecting the output. The duration of the time delay is indicated in the specifications. The short connection delay is designed to allow the power grid to stabilize after a service interruption.

Blackout detection, sag detection, etc.

The protector will disconnect the load if it detects a sudden voltage drop below 50% of the nominal voltage and initiate a standby cycle.

Transient overvoltage suppression.

Transient over voltages are very short-duration, high-energy voltage spikes produced by the connection or disconnection of loads or induced by lightning strikes near the electrical grid. They propagate through the grid until they reach the equipment. The BREAKERMATIC COMPUTACION interrupts transient over voltages between phase and neutral (differential mode) and between each current-carrying line and ground (common mode) without disconnecting the output.
